Congratulations to our new graduate!

Senghom, one of our students who was awarded a full scholarship from 2018 to 2022 has recently completed her degree in Business Administration Program in Business English, from Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna. She is now moving to the next step in her career plan.

Our Youth Center’s new program (Chinese Class)

                After the survey among our students on adding a new program (the Chinese class) to our Youth Center curriculum in the previous month, we found that many of them were very interested in it and kept asking for the start of the class. Although there are some limitations and challenges we have to face, whether it’s the difficulty of finding an appropriate volunteer teacher to join our organization which is very hard during the Covid-19 pandemic, or the selection of the suitable with high standard Chinese textbooks among thousands of book where both good and poor contents are presented in the market. Or the obstacle of managing our little space to be fit for one more class as well as rescheduling the learning sessions not to be overlapping with other classes. Those obstacles may delay us for some time but can never stop us from bringing or providing better educational opportunities to our disenfranchised and vulnerable stateless students. As we are always aware that the future of our students is more important and cannot be delayed so we decided to start the Chinese class for them in late February without hesitation even though our readiness is not there. Fortunately, we are able to experience a satisfactory result after finishing the first week of teaching Chinese and we will continue working hard on it in order to provide the best result to the students.

Kwah Dao is looking for a volunteer to work in our Youth Center in Pai, Mae Hong Son!

Kwah Dao is a registered non-profit organization working to provide educational programs to underprivileged children. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves teaching and would like to spend time in Thailand while giving back to the community and helping others.

Our Youth Center’s current classes

As English is one of the world’s major languages so we set it as one of our most important programs by providing Elementary and Intermediate English classes to our students. In addition, we expect to provide them with more classes such as Advanced English and TOEFL to ensure that they are competitive with others when they are in high school, university, or in the labor market after their graduation. Apart from the English classes mentioned earlier, we also provide a tutoring class for elementary students who are not good at Math, Science, Social Studies, and Thai. With this tutoring class, we believe that our students are well prepared for the middle school’s entrance exam with more possibility for them to be placed in the king class where they will be surrounded by lots of talented students.
