Scholarship student follow-up visits – October 2025

On 2 and 27 October 2025, the Chairperson of the Kwah Dao Foundation, together with the Acting Director, visited two scholarship students to follow up on their academic performance for Semester 1/2025, their physical and mental well-being, and their families’ living conditions. The visits also included mentorship sessions aimed at fostering personal development, as deemed appropriate. The details are as follows:

1. Visit on 2 October 2025 – Aurawee (High School Level)

On 2 October 2025, the foundation team traveled to Pai District to meet Aurawee, a scholarship recipient currently studying in Grade 10 (Matthayom 4) at Pai Wittayakharn School.
Her academic performance in the previous semester was good overall, though it had slightly declined due to her need to work part-time after school to help support her family’s expenses.

During the school break, from 29 September to 10 October 2025, Aurawee undertook an internship at Pai Police Station, as part of a school-organized program that allows high school students to gain hands-on experience in their field of interest. The program aims to help students explore whether, after real exposure to such work, they truly wish to pursue it at the university level.

In Aurawee’s case, she chose to intern at the police station because she dreams of becoming a lawyer. After participating in this internship and learning more about the justice process, she became even more certain that she is on the right path. Although some people around her have discouraged her or tried to dissuade her from following this dream, her strong determination and the ongoing encouragement she receives from the Kwah Dao team have helped her remain steadfast and confident.

Regarding her and her family’s well-being, all members are in good physical and mental health. Occasionally, her parents experience temporary income shortages, particularly after the harvest season, which is a recurring issue that causes some financial stress. As for her behavior, manners, and sense of responsibility, there are no concerns, as Aurawee has been well-guided and disciplined in these aspects.

During the mentorship session, the team provided advice on time management, encouraging her to allocate sufficient time for study, homework, and revision, as well as to continue improving her English language skills as part of her personal growth.

2. Visit on 27 October 2025 – Shwe Kyar (University Level)

On 27 October 2025, the foundation team met with Shwe Kyar, a third-year university student studying in the Faculty of Architecture (Interior Design Program) at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna.
Since final examinations had just been completed and grades had not yet been released, her academic results were still unknown at the time of the visit. However, she expressed confidence that her performance would remain satisfactory, despite certain subjects being quite challenging. She has already consulted with her seniors, who informed her that the upcoming semester will be even more difficult and demanding, yet she is determined to continue working hard as always.

In terms of physical and mental health, both she and her family are generally well. Her mother experiences some age-related ailments, but nothing of serious concern, while her father’s condition is similar. Regarding behavior, manners, and responsibility, no special concerns were raised. The only reminders given involved time management, balancing study and rest, and safe commuting between her residence and university, especially during nighttime.

During the mentorship session, the focus was again on fostering personal development, particularly through improving her English proficiency, which aligns with her long-term goals and will strengthen her competitiveness in the labor market after graduation.
