We currently have multiple volunteering positions available with Kwah Dao. We are hoping to fill these openings with inspiring, driven and creative thinkers, who will share our vision for an empowered world of equal opportunities.
There are two roles we need help with as soon as possible:
EFL Teacher/ Activities Leader
Position: Voluntary
Duration: 12-week minimum commitment
Location: Pai, Thailand
Qualifications/Skills: No formal qualifications are required. However, a TEFL Certification, teaching experience, coaching experience, voluntary work or other previous experience working with children is desirable.
Job Description: Volunteers will teach English and lead various extra-curricular activities at the Kwah Dao Youth Centre and other educational centres in the Pai area.
The Kwah Dao Youth Centre provides English classes and a range of extra-curricular activities to approximately 60 children aged 4-16 years old. All of the children who attend are from underprivileged backgrounds, and many of the students are from Burmese, migrant families who face the constant challenges of statelessness.
Volunteers may also work at other educational sites within the Pai area, all of which support the learning and development of local, underprivileged children.
Volunteers will be required to use their own creative initiative to lead different arts, crafts and activities that encourage the student’s creativity, initiative, team work skills and critical thinking skills. When in the classroom, volunteers will provide fun and engaging English classes to a range of skill levels and ages, following a set curriculum.

EFL Teacher/ Fundraiser
Position: Voluntary

Location: Pai, Thailand
Qualifications/Skills: Previous experience with fundraising or grant writing is essential. Having TEFL Certification, teaching experience, voluntary work or other previous experience working with children is desirable.
Job Description: Volunteers will be given a range of teaching, administration and fundraising duties at the Kwah Dao Youth Centre and other educational centres in the Pai area.
The Kwah Dao Youth Centre provides English classes and a range of extra-curricular activities to approximately 60 children aged 4-18 years old. All of the children who attend are from underprivileged backgrounds, and many of the students are from Burmese, migrant families who face the constant challenges of statelessness.
Volunteers may also work at our other educational sites within the Pai area, all of which support the learning and development of local, underprivileged children.
Volunteers will be required to use their drive and initiative to work on fundraising activities both in the local area and online.
When in the classroom, volunteers will provide fun and engaging English classes to a range of skill levels following a set curriculum. Further, volunteers will support and lead daily crafts and activities designed to encourage creativity, initiative, teamwork and critical thinking.
